The Kawa team have cut their teeth renovating homes and converting barns into liveable dwellings. Seeing projects through from derelict barns and tumble down cottages through to sympathetically restored living and working spaces.
From Victorian townhouses, terrace cottages and neglected barns to 1960’s bungalows crying out for a revamp, our expertise helps clients redesign their homes and dwellings to be stand out properties, yet still blend into their surroundings.
Remodelling a previously converted piggery
The job entailed gutting the dwellings double garage, removing it’s ceiling and creating new principle rafters (A-frames), to pick up the existing slate roof from the inside. The garage doors were replaced with bi-fold doors to enhance the look of this new habitable space.
The old bathroom was relocated creating a great flow from existing to the newly renovated part of the house.
After purchasing an excellent example of an unmolested Victorian town house, we undertook the extensive renovation and extension of the property.
Walls were removed, both internal and external and the floorpan altered throughout, to give the house an airy and open feel and creating a great family living space.
Many original features were retained and sympathetically restored during the project, whist incorporating modern building methods and materials where possible.
